Made a dry kit - doesn't like more than a 36 jet

they say theres a sweet spot on the AFR but most just shoot for mid low 12 AFR.. which is safe but might not make the most power. id be scared to try and keep hitting it on 13 afr, but thats just me.

FIXED!!!!
It was freezing the Maf so I moved the nozzle and now it's loving the 42 jet. The air/fuel is right at 13.5. Plugs are light brown. Time to beat up my little brothers Z4 and then maybe the older brothers SRT8 jeep.
The jeep went a 13.1 @ 103 so that's prolly to much for me to bite off. But well see. I'll keep u guys updated and I'll keep jumping jets till the truck doesn't like it or it spits the 60 out.

Most would but I found out low to mid 13s on a little shot is perfect. I've tested and tuned my 9 sec street mustang this way. Been dozens and dozens of bottles over the last 7 years. Anything under 100 shot mid 13s makes the most power on my dyno and produces the best track times. No puff of smoke on the hit. No leaning at the top end. Just clean and consistent runs w clean plugs.
Anything 100 to 200 shot on pump I found out that u want mid to low 12s.
Remember I tune on 93 pump and only do what I've been doing for years. This is only what I know and use because it never let me down or shook a motor. Some may have dif options. And I might be wrong w these LS trucks.

Just opened up this thread. If you're so familiar with tuning 9-second Mustangs and nitrous applications, why did you have to do research to find out that you needed to pull timing? As a precautionary measure, 13+ is a bit on the lean side to be hitting the truck with gas. Also, BR7EF's are better plugs, even with a smaller, dry shot. If you've got any charts that show the optimal AFR's, though, that'd help me out.

So my knowledge about building cars i tried with my truck. It works great for me and I'm sharing it w anyone who cares to read or put a quick dry kit on their truck.
I went with the 6s because it's one step colder than the truck calls for stock and used ngk because I've had good luck with them in the past. I only went one colder gapped to 30 thou because it's a baby shot. If it didn't like it or the plugs were being chewed up then I would try another. Getting ideas from those who have been where I am going with w my truck is great, but I like to still use the trail and error method.
Oh and I didn't pull any timing. Don't have to w good gas, plugs and small shot.
Again I threw this kit together in an hour from my spare parts and is only for a brotherly love grudge race. Everything is zip tied and ugly install because I'm taking it out once I get a vid of me pulling him. If I was serious about it I woulda installed a window switch, pulled timing, put a bigger jet In it, tested a couple dif plugs, and he'll even mounted the bottle instead of sitting in the passenger seat.
