Default Nitrous and 4.30's?

With my rcsb (mods in sig), I plan on spraying a 100 shot and eventually bumping it up to a 125 or 150 hit. I run 30" tires everyday and my slicks are 30x9x15's. In a few weeks I'm ordering a posi from Ron's Machine Service and I'm trying to weigh options on gears. I've got 3.73's stock in the truck and it does OK but I figured I'd put some fresh gears in it while I was having the rear freshened up anyway. I won't be spraying very often but when I do I will be running the 1/4 and I had some concerns about spray and 4.30s causing me to run out of gear. I don't think I'll trap much over 120 if I spray it with the current 3.73's but IDK. I haven't taken it to the track yet because by G80 is already peg-leggin'. I searched and found guys asking the same question but they were running 4L80e's or giant mud tires so I couldn't get what I'm looking for. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Oh yeah, sorry if this should have been in the drivetrain forum. I thought it pertinent to both, but more to this one.

I don't see it being a problem. I've seen guys spraying on 4.56s without issue. I'm sure the shift points will need adjusted to get the most out of it.

That's what I'm hoping. I may spray it once a month, or I may spray it once every two months but I know I won't be paying $50/bottle every other week like a few of my friends. I'd like to get the most out of my truck all the time and I think 4.30's will pick up quite a bit from the 3.73s and maybe even offset some of the power loss from the timing we take out for the juice. Thanks for the opinion buddy.

I had 4.56s in my truck with 200+ of nitrous. Went 120+ in the 1/4. Been over 140 on a closed course in mexico lol

dirt_track_racer_81 has 4.56s, been 128mph in the 1/4 and going to go 130+ this year.

4.30s won't be a problem

That's why I'm on PT.net and not on tech hardly any now. You guys rock! I'm looking forward to the difference. I think it was La Glock that I asked how he liked the 4.30's for a DD and he said they were great. We'll see, I guess. lol

It all depends on how high you wanna spin the engine and how loose the converter is up top. being the yank it should be nice!
