Thanks for all the input... I called every welding and speed shop around my area. One (and probably the only) performance shop in Woodstock VT sells the best nitrous in the country at $7/pound. They can kick rocks. A welding and gas supply chain in White River is selling to me for $2.66/pound. That's the best I found so I'm going for it.

Man sounds like a good plan, have you thought about a filling station yet?
All I did is take an old tank cap, cut it off at the end of the theads then welded 3/8 rod in a triangle base to hold the master bottle, then just used a 3' piece of -6an hose to fill my bottles

hey, I am not exactly familiar with the nitrous and all, but i do remember when i was into paintball, they had a filling station for co2 or nitrous. and they sold nitrous tanks that were built hella stronger to hold the more pressure. I remember I went to Bad Boys Toys, and if you buy a sticker for 5 bucks, you get free fills on tanks on tuesday and for nitrous it was 2 bucks to fill any tank. I know they had a bunch of NOS stickers on the walls for the nitrous so maybe thats real nitrous or maybe not. but it was an idea. I know people used nitro because it was much higher pressure to get that ball flying. just an idea

"nitro" in paintball is nitrogen bud. Nitrogen and compressed air are interchangeable the other gasses they use are co2. and as of a couple years ago, propane.
on a side note. if i were to take a nitrous bottle into a welding shop would they give me any **** about filling it?
