Nitrous on my Big Block 8.1L
I'm planning on putting nitrous injection on my 8.1L. A simple wet kit. A 100 shot n/a hi octane tune and cold plugs. I was planning on using a cheap tb spacer plate like this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=120685322271
and putting a fogger nozzle or somethin of the sort in it. would that work?
Also thinking window switch, but not sure when to have it kick on. 2200, since the 8100 is a low rpm motor anyway?? im new to nitrous injection so bare with me guys. thanks

I dont think the tb spacer thing works. Ive heard of guys doing that but it had mixing problems at high rpm.. Id say just use a nozzle, cheap and effective. 2200 wouldnt be bad. Ive sprayed a 50shot off idle and got away with it haha

A plate is better then a nozzle any day of the week. It is slightly more expensive but if you plan to stay around 100-150hp a nozzle will do you just fine. The plate actually helps with distribution and most people say they hit harder.
You aren't really supposed to run nitrous under 3000 rpms especially on a stock motor. Guys get away with it but it can cause serious problems. I personally have a 2800 stall that should stall over 3000 on the nitrous and leave the line on the juice.(I have my window set at 2700). I would not go as low as 2200 more like 2500-3000 is a much better option.
Do not use a "cheap ebay kit." Use a kit from one of our sponsors. The are low cost and high quality. I prefer Harris Speedworks, but Nitrous outlet is just as good I hear. You don't want shitty solenoids that will leak or fail thus blowing up your motor potentially.
