I didn't look at the link. Figured it was a plate nitrous kit.

I wouldn't buy the spacer just a waist of money. Use your nozzle and like said before a few inches in front of the TB.

You shift points won't effect how low of an rpm you activate at. Lower rpms makes too much torque, has less then desiable air valume flowing into the motor, and a few other small issues can arise when running nitrous too low of an rpm. Again guys get away with it but others don't.

Since you being unfamiliar with nitrous you should definatly start off safe. Start with a small shot and work your way up. Since you want to finish at a 100shot I suggest going with 1 stage colder spark plugs. Another good device is a wideband to see what real time A/F is. And yes spray it low in the rpms but not too low. Start at 3k and if you feel safe going lower then try 2800.

The 8.1 uses the same sized 75mm t-body the rest of the trucks use. The air intake velocity of an 8.1 at 3000 rpm and a 5.3 will be very different. Your not going to get much puddling with an 8.1 just off idle. IMO a 100 shot on an 8.1 with a WOT switch would do just fine.

"puddling" doesn't happen

The biggest issue is the fact that at lower rpms nitrous will make so much torque it can snap the crank and cause other issues. Again guys get away with it sometimes, but if it is something you want to defiantly drive home from the track and be able to rely on all week long, DON'T SPRAY UNDER 3000 rpm.

Fuel pump is a little beefed up. I made 12 lbs boost fairly easy with my old rear mount system
