Like the OP mentioned, there is little discussion on PT.net about plug choices and the like when running N2O. I would encourage everyone to read up on LS1Tech as there is a wealth of information hidden in there. Since our engines are virtually the same as the LS1's alot of the info can be correlated to the trucks. Many of the discussions on other forums are relevant however I feel the information on LS1Tech is more appropriate. Again though you MUST wade through the BS and pick out the good info. Here are a few good links:

Do some searching as there are many more. FYI, I run BR7EF and gap a little tight (some say) at .030 for a 100-175 shot. I also tried the 8's and had no issues. My truck by itself (N/A) needs heat range 6. I have been daily driving some 7's for a while now with hardly an issue. When I go to the track I run the 8's.

Another GREAT place to hang out and learn about plug reading with nitrous is yellowbullit dot com. I gained alot of knowledge from that forum.

thanks, thats just the info i have been looking for man that info needs to be drug over here, just gotta remember just cause its a truck doesnt mean it runs different than a car

thanks gain!!!

i have mine gapped at 33, but i yet to check them properly which when i our track opens in jan. i'll make sure i do, the info thats posted is over whelming, glad this thread got started specially for those that are just wanting everything possible out of a setup but also being on the safe side.

on a side note krambo thanks for the heads up on yellowbullet i been indulging in alot of reading here lately

FWIW, I run br6's on my 10.6:1 5.3 with a 100 shot, it is a reall nice small shot plug, that works well with n/a. anything bigger than a 125 shot, and I will move up to a br7 plug. The reason behind the non projected plug, is a projected tip will turn into a glow plug when the cylinder temps get high enough, causing det. a 11:1 motor needs a tr6 n/a to start, most of the TBSS guys run a tr6 plug.
