i picked up 137 rwhp with 150 shot and taking 6 degrees of timing out with a lingenfelter 2step, this is not with my stock timing, i dont know what timing i am usually but this is after i tuned the truck at tsp, btw the kit is a zex kit with a 78mm nitrous outlet plate

before that i didnt pull timing, stock timing and 125 shot with a nozzle and never had a problem

i think what he meant is you can spray a 150 shot on a STOCK TUNE. if you are tuned to the max with high timing, dont even think about it. but if on a stock tune, a 150 is "safe"

after pulling 6*, what is your timing at?

Give some more info about the situation. Was the difference in runs on the same day? Was the diffeence in runs on the same dyno? Is it a wet or dry system? What tires are you running? Is it in 4wd? There are a lot of variables that can effect the outcome. Give your setup in detail.

It was a dynotune wet kit on a nozzle, It was on the same dyno on the same day about 10 minutes from the motor pass. I have veroified timing to be at 26 degrees max timing on motor but I idnt check it on that pass. I have verifie AFR to be right around 13.0 range on spray. Bottle psi was stable at 950-975 and It was a competely full bottle. I was just wondering I had a compucar bottle in a bag kit that went up to 100hp dry shot and seemed just as strong as the 150 wet shot does to me. You guys got any ideas, also I got a progressive controller it that means anything.

My guess now is the controller is either to blame or the solenoid has been weakened from the pulsing of the control and isn't fully opening.

pulsing solenoids that weren't really intended for duty cycle is hard on them. Your solenoid opens and closes if its progressive, about as many times in one 1/4 trip as mine opens and closes all season...

Here is My opinion. MY OPINION only. I do not pull timing with anything below a 100 shot on a v8 equipped vehicle. Depending on what the timing is at anyways I have left timing alone on a 125-150 shot also. When we got the blazers tune dialed in on the dyno on motor we did a 100 shot to see what it did. It pulled great, plugs good (that is really how you tune a nitrous setup is by reading the plugs) everything was great. Pulled 2 degrees out and it lost some power and the plugs got richer. The tuner put the other tune back it and just messed with something on the top end of the tune and it was dialed in. We actually picked up 2 hp and lost 1 ft lb tq on the motor tune.

If I was you, add 2* back to the vehicle and make a WOT pass from 2nd to 3rd gear and when you left off the nitrous SHUT THE VEHICLE DOWN and pull to the side of the road or whatever and read the plugs, choose 1 or 2 from each side and see what they look like. If you have new plugs put them in and try it again with 2* more and see what they look like it.

Have you verified what your fuel pressure is at the solenoid yet? If you have it jetted per the kits recommendations you could be a little rich also.

One site you can go to as a start for nitrous jetting
http://www.robietherobot.com/nitrousjetcalculator.htm

I use that as a recommendation but usually will lean the fuel side out by a .01-.02 usually. But I dial in a nitrous kit for around 1000-1050 psi. That is what works best for me and our setup. I have a pieced together N.O.S kit for our setup.
