Default Spark Plugs for nitrous install.

Reading up on the recommended spark plugs for a nitrous application and the NGK TR6's are what everyone seems to be using. Would an iridium plug not be recommended even if it was a step colder? Such as the NGK TR6IX's

Ive only heard of guys using tr6's. I wouldnt buy a expensive iridium plug for nitrous cause you might change them out a few times getting the tune right.

TR6's, the only way to go.

Ouch! What happened? Wrong plugs and too much timing on too big of a shot or what?

tr6 are ok for a 75 or 100 shot. NGk br6ef or br7ef for 150 -200 . these plugs are better suited for N20 because they don"t stick out as far and are less likely to cause detonation.
Do some research on these numbers and you'll see what I am talking about.

This was #8 cyl on the stock plugs with 150 shot. It just leaned out due to not getting enough fuel back there to that cylinder.

This is why I am getting a stand alone tank for my Wet plate kit from Nitrous outlet. Better safe than sorry.

I agree. It seemed to take 125 without a problem but it just wasn't enough full pressure for 150.

Did you log the fuel pressure or is this your assumption. Most run a 150 on a stock pump with no problem , however NOBODY should spray a 150 on stock plugs. People give me crap about hitting a 75 on tr55 (stock heat range)! Seems to be a lot of N2o myths being stated in this thread. Please do your research guys. Blowing an engine is no fun.

Rodney, on the Br7ef's, are those an NGK plug, because I've always run tr6's, you think I need to upgrade?
