I've got them! And a dyno sheet

Carl tuned it out of Lancer Service in St. Paul. He is "the guy" for boosted LS around here. I got the truck back on Thursday and it's insane. 17psi is a lot for the street! Tires just spin if I'm cruising around 65mph, haven't tried it any higher yet. Goal was 20 psi but with the waste gate springs I gave him, he was only able to get that high with the manual boost controller. Was supposed to be a spring combo for 14psi but 9 was all he got.

First night I had the truck back on full power and was playing, the alternator pulley wasn't as amused with the new power as I was. The nut loosened up and stripped the shaft. Left my stranded 2 miles from home, so I got a nice walk back to the house to go back and tow it.

While bouncing under the truck when it came off, it hit my wideband and took that out as well.

I also finally got my fuel tank venting fixed after 800 miles only filling 5 gallons at a time. Drilled out the top of the pump assembly to install a breather tube that runs up and tees into the filler neck with that other hose.

Must feel pretty beefy when you get on it. What are you going to do for traction?

Serious power, I'm loving it. I love how flat that boost curve is. PT88 still getting it done.

Yeah, it moves! Traction.... is to be determined. Better tires/lower boost/axle upgrade. I haven't done any research into how much abuse the stock G80 can take with good traction so for now I'll just keep it spinning and/or turn down the boost so it's more usable power.

Had a little fun. This is rare for me, I don't like wasting money, aka wasting the rubber.

Went to the track yesterday and had a hard time launching with the street tires. It was a lot harder to drive it turbo'd than last year NA. I used to be able to hold the pedal to the floor, but now I had a hard time controller thottle.

Circled my best numbers. Spun halfway through second on every run, slightly less each time though.

with 123mph you could get that thing into the 11's with traction

I agree. That would be awesome. I also think I can do quite a few better than 123 also. I learned I was letting off too early by about 75 ft at least, there's nothing clear to show where the line is besides where the rubber marks end on the ground. Rookie mistake. Besides a street radial, what else do people do for traction on pickups without going into crazy suspension mods?

A good tire and assassin bars will help

Eerily similar problems to what I'm having. You on stock suspension with a flip kit in The rear? I can't hook up on my m&h DRs. Once the boost hits in 1st gear it blows off the tires end of game. Spins in 2nd gear too. This isn't unexpected though, you can't ignore suspension and then except to hook with 600+ hp. KBRacing and I ran at the track and we have very similar setups, but his truck is stock height and he hooks 1000x better than me. He was on 15" et streets I was on 17" m&h.
