Made a big step forward yesterday and it feels good. We got the 4l80e fully installed. It went way easier than pulling the 60e, surprisingly. Everything slid right into place perfectly. Even my eyeball-measured cross member was dead on. I used factory 4l80 cooler lines rather than extending the stock one.
First pic is the old cooler lines removed. I struggled way too long before I realized it's way easier to pull them out towards the front instead of the rear, lol.
How's this look? This is the brace that goes from the frame to the engine cradle. It broke all the way in half when I tightened it back up to the frame...
Circle D installed
Transmission in!
Starter and everything else up.
Front end pulled to run the new tranny cooler lines back. Was going to pull the bumper but the bolts are too rusty so I removed the valence instead. Now I'm wondering what will work the best for adding a tranny cooler and intercooler all up there. The cooler you see in the pic is just sitting there, friend gave it to me to maybe use but I think I'm going to end up using a bigger aftermarket one. Unless there is a factory unit that's larger and will be a direct fit?

I am really looking forward to trying it out! The higher stall and firm shifting is going to feel so good. I actually went to all the stiffest shift settings when I installed the Transgo kit, we'll see if I need to dial some back when i go to tuning.
Here's a ittle video clip i came across from summer 2013. Look at how smoooooth it is.

Also got my new fuel rails today from eBay. Seller is fasterllc, very nice guy to work with and he answered every question I had. http://www.ebay.com/itm/131129425651...84.m1439.l2649
he threw in an extra 90* for me to run to my regulator at no cost, instead of being plugged like it shows in his pictures. The hardware is included and another set of mounts which I assume are for a car intake.
Waaaay bigger than the stock rails! Two walbro 450s with E85 are going to like this.

And trust me, you wanna go with E85 if you can, we have enough stations here in MN to not have to worry about it. The gains and extra little insurance against detonation is well worth it!

Not cool. I haven't seen a turbo truck up there yet so I was hoping I'd have the fastest! Lol.
I'm in Elk River. have you been to the ricekiller meet before? I've got a feeling I've talked to you before...
Edit: Yup, looked up your thread and compared it to a picture I took at RKC that night for motivation before I even had my engine.
