Driveshaft is done... shorten, rebalance, and new greasable spicer u-joints... $90 out the door.

The front will be around $120 to re-tube and all...

Anyways... everything is here now... diving back in after work. Should be able to test drive by lunch time Saturday.

All my cooler lines are done now and in place. I discovered after assembly, that I had assembled the AN fittings wrong... (apparently, when using PTFE braided lines, the ferrel goes over the ptfe tube first... oops.) so I then spent the next 2+ hrs taking them back apart and fixing them. It will be a miracle if none of them leak... we'll see tomorrow.

All that's left is to pull the transfer case back out and install the new seals that finally came in... put it back in along with the drive shaft... check all the cooler lines and make sure they are tight, button up a few things then fill with fluids and go.

I'm going to get an early start tomorrow so we'll see what happens.

Its driving! I put over 100 miles on it today... pulls and drives so much nicer than the 60e ever could have... easily maintains 80+mph... turbo spools much quicker than it did before and is making more boost...

Now.. I am having an issue which I think is in the valve body... I don't have any engine breaking in 2nd and the reverse engagmenet is delayed and somewhat weird. Not slipping or anything like that... just weird. I'm reading up on it now and it doesn't sound like a big deal. I was planning on putting a few hundred miles on it and dropping the pan anyways just to check things out.

Anyways... probably going to swap my hx30w turbo on tonight.. so back to the shop.

Update...

As far as the converter goes... I really like it so far... I do wish the stall speed was a little higher.. maybe 1300-1400 instead of 1100-1200... because of the low stall speed, there is a light puff of smoke at every take off... no matter how light on the throttle... the truck feels/pulls as if its got a manual transmission... just being shifted automatically... if that makes any sense.

I did get the hx30w swapped on... boost response is MUCH better then the h1c... and considering that the turbo was rather snug (0 miles on new cartridge), I'm sure it will get better as it breaks in.

Loving the trans so far... I just hope I can get the reverse issue taken care of without pulling it back out of the truck.

Here are a few pics...

Nice! Did you check to be sure that trans fluid was topped off? I've seen that cause an issue with delayed gear engagement before.

Yup... checked several times on our drive and checked after we got home... a little over full on the dipstick actually... nearly 4.5 gallons of fluid... lol

From looking around online and talking to Jake, its an internal issue for sure... I'm just hoping its not one that requires pulling the trans.

O... apparently I never put up a pic of my gauge bezel... spent a day tinkering... wanted something different and this is what I came up with.
