Default 08 GMC Front Mount, custom build

Customer wanted a complete kit for his 08GMC. Seeing how we do not have an IC kit for the NBS truck, he offers to bring it to us for the install. Looking at the front we thought there was just too much room to work with. LOL
Truck is getting a 72mm turbo, standard hot pipe kit with the gate venting to the atomsphere. We were told by a few buddies no way to make an intercooler fit behind the grill, because of a grill support bracket. So we designed the IC to take the place of this support and the grill will now snap onto the IC.
Intercooler core is 18 x 20 x 3 and will cover pretty much the front end. We started off with just a sketch of the IC to get rolling, then built a card board model, then 3d model'd it, and was still just not happy with it went ahead and build a sheet metal model to confirm fittment. Sent that off to the IC mfg. so to make sure this unit will bolt right in and fit like it should.
Here are some pics.

looks really good. just curious though as to why all the front mounts are done on the passenger side. I think there is a ton more room on the driver side without all the air and heater lines running around. could be wrong and probably am. as far as air box my truck atleast has the extra battery tray at the front on driver side. not sure if they all do or not. IC looks pretty sweet though and yes these do have a lot of room up there!

Heater hoses can be re-routed and the A/C lines can be bent or modified to get them out of the way if necessary. On the driver side you have the steering box, steering shaft, PCM, fuse box, etc... all of those are real sensitive to heat or are in the way. So unless you go twins where you have to go there it's easier to go on the passenger side.
