This morning I took a piece of my seats and the carpet sample up to the paint store.

After about 40 mins of going through color books I came up with these two colors.

Theyre not exact matches, so I will have to spray a bigger panel of the colors on lets say an 10 inch by 20 inch piece to see if the variance is noticeable or not.

Been an average of 115 degrees outside, so not much movement on this one.

But spending money and collecting parts is always a good thing..

Engine dilemmas.

Have a great running 5.3 with higher compression and big cam, makes decent power being NA.
-would have to tear it down gap rings and swap in another cam
-high compression

OR

I have 2 bone stock 'LS' engines.. another 5.3 (gen 3) or a 4.8 (gen 4)
-tear down gap rings
-install correct cam for boost
-5.3 is bigger but weaker rods
-4.8 is smaller but stronger for boost

have 706, 862, 243 heads that need rebuild as well

about 10 psi for daily driving, but might turn it up when needed

Decisions, decisions...

Make a high rpm motor out of the 4.8 and boost it.

thinking all the suspension/chassis will be red as well.
a mix of powder coating and paint, but I think the red will work well for this build

The ididit steering column arrived
The gauges are here
The hydroboost unit is here
The wire harness is here

-possibly going to run an aluminum driveshaft, but need to see the specs if it'll hold up to what we are planning
