1977 LS swapped K10 revival
Hey yalls,
This build thread is continuing off an old build by a member on here @mikevanky , This project is just cool to not continue documenting. Mike has built the bones of a hell of a drag truck, my goals are to button and polish what Mike started and make this thing more street-able.
I have been in possession of the truck for about a month and have been working on it every weekend and many night after work.
Old Build thread: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-546130/page5/
To get you up to speed on how the truck currently sits to the best of my knowledge
Engine: 6.0 Ls
Transmission: 4L80E
Transfer Case: NP241C (4wd is currently bluetooth), Dana 44 in the front, 14 Bolt in the rear 4.10 gears
Turbo: 85mm VS Racing S485 https://turbo4less.com/product/vsr-8...let-t6-1-32ar/
What has been done since I have owned:
The first task was to get past pesky NH inspection. The truck needed a parking brake, Speedometer/tachometer, and horn. Apparently, the state has decided that the term for muffler is a loose interpretation so i could be running open down pipe but god forbid I don't have an odometer.
Just got her home
Really stance. plan to drop the rear 2 inches to level it out
Getting the parking brake sorted.
Horn button and fuel gauge (yay don't have to constantly check the fuel cell)
Fitments a little off but its will be a good stand in while I design a proper dash
NH also requires a grill to pass inspection. got some Philips LED headlight to replace the old candlelight halogens, highly recommend these almost as good as projectors.
Her very first mile, thanks to Holly EFT GPS Speedo. Wish i could figure how to dim thing thing, its a small sun at night.
Adding sound damping to cut down on road/engine noise.
More damping
and more
