when you get to doing the cam swap id like to go watch. im over in arlington. i want to do one in my 84 but dont know much. im hoping to be off 4 days this wkend an install my front suspension.

 

Not much else finished...got the bottom end of the motor done and firewall painted...

 

Not a whole lot of progress...was selling the motor then was offered some funds to keep it going...motors almost done..heads will be back from the machine shop this week...220/220 TSP cam and LS2 timing chain..new motor mounts...and I'll have to buy a new transmission as the one that came out of the truck has some corrosion eating at the case...

 

Very cool build, similar to what I would like to do myself. Sub'ed!

 

Man thats going to be a nice truck, I wish i would have kept my 83 and ls swapped it. In for updates

 

Motor will be going in tomorrow and tranny to the shop on Monday...

My grandfather has one of these trucks that is dying to be restored. I hope to one day be able to do that and make it a badass hotrod.
