Hobart 220v. Can’t remember the exact number. Still using flux core because I’m to lazy/cheap to get a bottle. Last one was a decade old or older Century 110v job. It says it could up to 1/4” but it struggled to do exhaust tubing at full tilt.

I welded a bit without a bottle last night, but that's because I forgot to turn it on.

Exhaust welds look great from here, I really suck at thin stuff like that.

I’m not a pretty welder, that’s what grinders are for haha.

Did some pressure washing today. Of course nothing is cheap on this truck and my 18yr old washer died on me so I had to buy a new one. Finally starting to get over the vids. Stuff kicked my *** pretty good. Kids go back to school next week but I have to stay home until Wednesday (policy) so I’m going to hopefully start reassembling this thing.

Old out and new in. Glad that’s done. Now to do motor mounts and then finally something fun, the sound system.

36 years on original rubber bushings. They were spongy haha. Can’t wait to see what the motor mounts look like.

Yup. Definitely bad. The diy4x mounts are nice and there’s more room to work around them than the factory style so install is even easier.

All done. Didn’t even have to pull the headers off.
