It may still see some rocks but it won't be dedicated for it anymore. I did put a bunch of rock crawling parts on it so I can't be a complete mall crawler haha.

It's about to get even sexier. Long tube's showed up and I'm trying to find a shop to work with me on a cam and//or heads package.

that's fair. glad it'll be more useful & provide memories with the kids.
my neighbor's got a 50-something chevy truck that he & his dad started... it's still only half-done after all these years, but it's something they share. another friend's got his granddad's 77 C-10 that they worked on together when he was young.

After thinking about it more, decided I’m gonna go ahead and just swap the springs and axles into the new truck instead of trying to swap the bodies around. Won’t be as easy to work on the frame with a body on it but it’ll be easier to get the truck on//off the trailer with axles under it. Once I get the new truck into the shop I can build a frame to support the body and allow me to wheel the frame in and out from under it.

This wasn’t much fun by myself but I got it done. Wednesday I’ll tackle the rear.

Did you post pics of the new body and I missed them? It's another square body? Pickup or blazer?

West Texas truck. Some rust on the floor pans in the usual places but otherwise rust free and almost perfectly straight save a dent in a fender from the guy backing a trailer in. Comes with frame, 350, 700r4, and np208. Going to swap my 383//4l80e//208//axles//springs into it. Planning on a complete new wiring harness as well. It’s nice because everything I spent money on on my current one is easily transferred to the new one and I’ll have a better body to start building from.
