Gnarly. you just gonna scrap it or try and clean it up and sell it? Might could make a few bucks back to put into your project.

Scrap it. Don't have the space to store an engine that I won't need or use. No one wants a sbc anymore so you get pennies on the dollar. My running 350 I sold from my last one was only able to get $400. A non running needing a rebuild engine would be lucky to get $100 and more than likely $50. Not worth the hassle of trying to sell it.

And it’s out. Now to strip the accessory brackets off of it, separate the t-case and trans, and haul it off. Going to keep the t-case as it’s an np208 like I currently have so a spare wouldn’t be a bad idea.

700r4. Might need a rebuild. Worked when I bought it. No low ballers. I know what I got.

It’s going to the scrap yard tomorrow. Just draining fluid from it and found this and chuckled.

Haha. Thankfully the scrap yard is about 5 miles away. 880lbs of scrap got me $72. Worth it. Now to pressure wash the truck again now that the old crap is out of the way and get work on installing the new engine and transmission!! I’m hoping by next Friday I’ve got the 383//4L80e//np208 bolted in the truck. Only thing I really need to figure out is the transmission crossmember and the bushing for it but that’s pretty simple.

3 days left of summer and my daughter said she was bored. She got put on clean up duty. Got the garage cleaned up and her and I pressure washed the engine bay and under carriage again now that the drivetrain is out of the way. Need to pick up bolts for the converter and bell housing and a transmission mount but the plan is to have the new drivetrain bolted in end of this week.

In like Flynn. Now to buy flex plate bolts, converter bolts, bell housing bolts, starter bolts, starter, water pump, fans, gas tank, sending unit, fuel line, trans cooler lines, trans cooler fittings, vss sensors, shifter, radiator, radiator hoses, air filter, valve cover spreaders, valve cover bolts, thermostat, thermostat housing, spark plugs, transmission mount, redo both driveshafts, hook up brake lines, commence wiring, and then maybe by Christmas try to start it.
