1988 Blazer 5.3 Swap
Hello, names Justin. Ive been lurking around the site for a few months. Trying to sponge up all the info I can!
This is my 88' Blazer 5.3 swap project. Been in the works for the last 8 months. Getting closer to be finished.
Attachment 48973 (Pix# 1 on next post)
What I started with. Tired 4.3 2dr 2wd.
Attachment 48974 (Pix#2 on next post)
After a complete tare down. Chassis has paint, new bushings, rod ends, balljoints, hardware Ect..
Attachment 48975 (Pix#3 on next post)
The 5.3 w/ headers, and new oil pan for the swap.
Stock for now, but not for long!
The body and engine back on the truck. Picture of my shop at home.
The engine in the bay. Have some clearance issues with the heater box and power brake booster. This week, Im addressing the booster problem. Scored a new Hydro-booster last week. Installing the new parts this week.
Another shot of the engine bay.
Thought I would share this with you people. Maybe you might have some ideas, or see something I've over looked.
More pictures to come.
Thanks
Justin
