Thanks!
Not yet. been busy. Just found out I'm gonna ba a daddy! TWINS!!!!!!
Getting ready for that, and taking care of things.
I will soon. This spring, hit the track before the kido's get here!
Tech question.
Found a oil leak yesterday. Its coming up out of the Stock oil sender behind the intake. I'm not using that sender, piped into the oil cooler port on the pan.
Is there a way a guy could plug that oil port? Its metric, so finding a metric pipe plug is gonna be tough.
Any thoughts??
Justin

Thanks man! How you been? Happy New year! Hope all is well.
I found a oil plug at all places, Lowes! Its a 17mm 1.50 oil plug in there hardware section. I just took the metal compression ring off the sender, and put onto the plug. Fixed since before christmas, no leaks.
Just driving the wheels off it. Thats till I get my 05' Duramax fixed, Head gasket!
Started that adventure this week. Amost ready to pull the heads off. Thank go my best friend is a CAT diesel tech and Diesel junkie. I'd be sunk without his help! But its getting there. Weak factory hardware and a nasty tune is hard on the stock parts. You live and learn.
This time its getting ARP head kit, egr block, Air Dog Lift pump Airperferator. And 75hp injector nozzles. Pcv reroute, keep the engine clean.
I had trans issues last year, it was due to loaning out my truck to a buddy to tow a trailer. He got stuipid with it. It has a Sun Coast stage 5 and billet converter now. They say there rated @ 1K tq. Shouldn't have any problems. Still have 2 yrs left on warranty.
Got to get the truck done soon. It's out family truck now with the Twins due in July. Got to recover from this repair. So Ruby might be put on the back burner for a bit. Thank god I have it drive to work. Gas mileage isn't the best with the 3 speed. But so far no issues as Daily Driver. Knock on wood!

On an LSx the threads are 16mm x 1.5. Autometer makes an adapter with an NPT port that you can either plug, or use for a pressure gauge. Comes with a crush ring as well for sealing, which is a bonus. Not sure if they have one in a 17mm or not.

I put one of these on my Typhoon's 6.0L for an oil temp gauge.
