with the size and weight of a 35" tire its a good idea to over gear. I'm going to put 4.56s on my NNBS with a 33" tire on it. but then again i tow a travel trailer so i need the gearing.

I ran 4.88s in my 76 silvy with 40s Dana 60 front 14 bolt rear but I had a sm465 granny low 4 speed. If I where u I'd do 4.88s

Uncle has a 97 ext cab silvy. His has 6 inch suspension and 3 inch body. He had 39.5 swampers on it when he bought it and they fit just fine. He is now running 40 inch iroks and still clears them no problem. So 38s will fit and let u flex the suspension out. He is still running the ifs too. I've got a suburban I built for my late brother killed in Afghanistan. It's on 44s with 5.38s. Pulls a friggin house down literally. So I would go with 4.56 at the most a 4.88 gear. If u go too steep you'll loose highway driveability.

thats great news.. I'll go with 6in suspension 3in body.. 38x15.50 20 tires and probably go with either the 4.56 or 4.88 gears.. I want something low so it will get up and go but I don't want to be turning too high on the highway either..

anyone post me in the right direction to get the best deal on a lift???

I'm still shopping tires.. I'm looking at 38x15.50 Nittor Mud Grapplers, Super Swamper SSR's, and Toyo M/T.. thats all I've been able to find in that size.. you know of any others??

If u don't want a lot of noise stay away from the nitto. They are loud. Ride good but just loud. Ssr I've heard good stuff about. And the toyo is a great tire all around. Isn't loud and rides great
