haha yeah this thing is just sucking up the boost and is quiet, its gonna cost me alot of money to go e-85 right now so i might just bite the bullet for race gas for the time being, that way i can go ahead and crank the boost up and my injectors/fuel pump will keep up......Got the tranny out right now to loosen up the stall and install a transbrake

I'm so curious to see how the cage looks in this style interior truck.
Did a safety guy at the track tell you you needed a cage or are you doing it on your own?
Is that you in the picture?

If they didnt tell him he'll need one... he'll need one pretty shortly anyways.

Hopefully the truck has recovered a bit since the driveshaft incident, that was tough to watch.

Favorite obs project for sure

The track officials were Implying I needed one and I knew it was my next big step, that's my good friend Mario in the pic helping me rip everything out, but I really wanted the cage for my personal safety and to stiffin the frame for better times! I have a wife and son so it was a gut instinct to get this put on

After you shaved those back steps did you brace them back up? I just shaved mine, and I was going to do braces because we're afraid of them cracking out.

Yes i rebraced em just using the existing brace, the driveshaft actually hit my roll pan and put a small crack in it too :[

Cage should be in monday so ill be able to start on it next week! Ive been doing a little practicing in the mean time on some scrap chromeoly a friend had laying around and got the tig setup where it is getting good penetration, its hard as hell to make welds look like a stack of dimes this is the best ive had so far

the guy that welded mine in says you need to come off the foot pedal while your torch is still in the bead. that will help with the areas in the last pic. dont look too bad if you just started to TIG.
