Yeah I ran a set or 30in et street once and they were not to bad at 20 psi but would just get looser the lower you would go, run them with and without tubes and it may of just been me but it sure felt more stable with the tubes in the tires.

Track night went good on the new tires... First two passes were just a little trial in error with air pressure and rear shock adjustments... 1st pass had one wheel hop shocks on 6, tightned rear shocks to 9 and had 2 wheel hops... Then i loosend them to 2 and no wheel hop on the last 2 passes... ended up with 13 psi in rear tires with rear shocks set on 2 and managed a 1.51 60' launching on 15 psi and giong to 20#'s off the t brake finishing with a 9.7 1/4 with 141 trap speed.... Crazy how much different than the radials. I couldnt manage the good ole 1.43 60' or better than a 9.5 that i did with the radials... Tires felt fine as far as sway

Yes sir! This was the first time i have ever ran slicks in my life.... I could definantly feel the horsepower robbing difference lol, I could almost guarentee that the 9.7 pass on slicks woulda been a low 9 on radials.... The radials are just track dependant though... It has to be dripping with vht to hook in my case anyhow

This will be interesting to see the final outcome. I have always been a big believer in bias for a truck especially, but you were hooking so well with the radials. You say the bias was robbing you of power? Meaning they were hooking and not letting any spin? Or is something else going of that they seemed to hold you back on power?
Great info as always and it will be interesting to see over the next few track trips if you can make the bias work better or at least equal. Like you said the radials have a hard time hooking if conditions aren't ideal. I personally would be willing to give up a tenth or two and have a tire that will damn near dead hook on any surface. But if radials show to be that much better on your truck I might have to give them a shot when I get to the track again someday!
