2000 Chevy Silverado project "Charlie Murphy"

I had some extra 194 LEDs. So I decided to replace all the ones in the cab. There's one in each door, two puddle lights in the foot well, one in the glove box, one in the ash tray, two in the map lights, and the ones in the dash.
I took the dash apart and swapped the bulbs. The factory bulbs are soldered in so I had to use a hook set to get them free. Then push the LED replacements.
I was pleasantly surprised with how they turned out.
In not a big fan of swapping to blue like most are. I dig the white actually.
The only problem now is how it doesn't match my factory stuff.
So I searched around and ordered some single 5050 SMD LEDs. Hopefully they're in the same color range as the ones in the dash. I'm not sure how much the SMD style vary in color. We'll see.

These are the ones I ordered.
Cutequeen Trading 20pcs Led Car Lights Bulb White T5 5050 1-smd 1smd 17 18 27 37 58 70 73 74 79 85 86 2721 (Pack of 20)
Amazon.com: Cutequeen Trading 20pcs Led Car Lights Bulb White T5 5050 1-smd 1smd 17 18 27 37 58 70 73 74 79 85 86 2721 (Pack of 20): Automotive
20 of them for $9.00 shipped.
They look similar to the ones that I just installed. Meaning, I think they'll be super easy to take apart. I'm hoping it'll be a straight forward swap with the lights that are installed in the hvac/light switch, etc.

There has been a pretty bad snow storm here so I haven't received my LEDs yet.
I did manage to get a bit of work done though.
I received my delrin and polyurethane.
I removed the Coilovers and found that the bushing hadn't failed yet. It was just seriously deformed.
I cut the poly down to around 1/2 an inch. Then I drilled a hole in it and installed it on the coilover.
I decided to use the bushing's washers above and below it thinking they would be stronger than the fender washers.
I did this for both sides and put everything back together.
I haven't driven at all. This is just with the weight of the truck on them. For the red bushings being roughly the same size as the black ones, they haven't deformed nearly as bad. I'm not sure how much of an improvement this actually made. I'll have to go drive around and see if I destroy them I guess.

Ahhh, well that makes sense now, when the truck is lowered that much its a definite concern.. I am anxious to see what transpires with your research and development because I want to do the same thing with my '03.
The problem for me is, I want to really lean on it and I don't think bottoming out the suspension will suffice for what I want. I hadn't considered the bottoming out part, please keep us posted!

I love your truck and the direction you're going with it. What wheels are those? They are awesome black like that. My only suggestion is to remove the tow hooks to complete the 2wd look. They unbolt, without removing the bumper, very easily.
