Haven't been on here in a while. Truck has had a few changes since I last posted. Here's what I added/changed

-brake upgrade, 05+ front rotors, dual piston Tahoe rear calipers, drilled/slotted rotors, SS brake lines
-LED light bar
-5k switchbacks and extra blinker mod
-rear fender liners (love these)
-Indash touch screen
-SwingCase toolbox
-Black vinyl wrap on B pillar
-Paint correction

New 6.0 that I swapped in is running great. I've put 10k miles on it since the swap. Motor now has 91k on it. Zero issues so far!
Not sure if I listed it but since it's done the parts are-
-03 Lq4
-TSP220 cam
-PAC 1218 springs
-Texas Speed push rods
-05+ electric fans and 34" radiator w/ Nelson harness
-LS6 ported oil pump (55psi hot idle)
-LS2 timing set
-MSD wires, NGK plugs
-Swapped 105a alternator for a 145a from an HD
-ASP underdrive pulley and alternator overdrive pulley
-Ported and polished stock throttle body
-CalSpeed LTs, ORY, single 3" cutout, 18" Bullet, then a 24" Magnaflow, tailpipe to rear bumper. Exhaust is very quiet which is what I wanted since I tow a lot.
-Yank TT3000, Vette Servo, TruCool 40k- i don't know how this 60e is taking it, but it hasn't missed a beat. 158k, never been rebuilt, tow with it everyday, heavy tires, 6.0l, etc lol

Tahoe dual piston rear calipers I got off a member. I cleaned them up and sprayed them red.

Front brakes- 05+ Powerstop calipers powdercoated red, SS brake lines, 13" rotors

Braking is MUCH better than stock. EBC sent me wrong pads, so I just used cheap Brake Best pads from O'Reilly's. Braking is still great, SS lines really firmed up pedal.

Fender liners. I think RuggedLiner makes them? They were like $82. Well worth the money.

5k switchbacks and did the blinker mod. Replaced DRL with another blinker/bumper light. Still need to get 5k 194 bulbs for the corners to match.

Cheap Jensen VM9215BT. Got it on clearance at Best Buy. Not bad for price. Wish it was a DD but oh well.

Plans for dmax before I sell it:
-3" drop shackles (on the way)
-Pull overload leaf
-Turn down keys all the way, probably remove bolts
-285/50/20 Falken a Wild Peaks I scored for cheap
-Oil change, fuel filter
-Clean it up real good and tuck some wires, PO was sloppy

It's got an injector circuit issue right now. Gotta figure that out.

Wow, I'm very surprised the 60e is holding up with all the abuse you put it through.

I recently started my own build and in my research, I've read the horror stories about 60e's crapping out after barely any modifications, so I quickly put the transmission swap to the top of my to-do list.

But the truck looks awesome

Thanks. I'm surprised too. I just keep the trans cool and limit my 4-2 and 3-1 downshifts. Whenever it goes I'll be getting a Performabuilt trans.

That truck is so freaking clean. Especially for the amount of work you use it for. But why not keep the Dmax and use thAt for towing ?

Duramax is a little rough. Not clean enough for my liking. Plus I don't wanna start mods all over lol. I'll eventually get a newer Duramax once I'm out of school. I can't bring myself to sell the gasser.

I gotcha. I guess the 2006 duramax is supposed to be the best. With the lbz engine.

That's what people tend to like. I'd like to get an LBZ or LMM
