Nice truck! Soory I'm a year late, but I want to drop a t56 in my 07. I've seen a couple similar swaps, and mechanically, I have an idea of what it takes. I'm curious about the computer switching from auto to manual. What needs to be done? Do the sensors just plug in more or less?
Also, what did you do about the column shift? Is it just disconnected and removed?
Thanks.

column and computer
on the computer auto to manual your speed sensor plugs in but is tuned for i believe 44 tics per revolution and it has to be changed to 17 tics per revolution and the reverse lights and cruise control you have to wire in and then theres some tuning you have to do as far as torque management and fuel enrichment mode and some other little things but if you pay to get it dyno tuned they will get the bugs worked out for you, it took me about a month of trial and error on hp tunners, but i finally got it myself, and as far as the column i just took the shifter off and unplugged it and put the manual steering column cover on so its a nice clean swap, i got all the part numbers from the a4 to m6 sticky thread and if you need anything else just pm me i hardly get on unless i need something or if im pm'd
ive got a bunch of pics that i still need to post up, im in the middle of getting a shifter water jetted out of inch thick aluminum so i can put my console in, i got a console out of a z71 2006
