2006 Silverado 1500 SC Build
Hi guys, figured I'd start a thread on the "build" I'm working on. I say they in quotes as its not going to be anything too crazy at the moment.
She started off as a typically 2006 Crew Cab 1500 Z71, 5.3, 4l60e, 3.42s, and 4wd.
Her first mod for this build was to get those 3.42s out for 4.10s. Much better off the line, a little more gas, but hey that's what I have a car for. I'll post additional threads with updates here soon, already got a bunch of stuff done.

Here she is, MP112 Magnuson blower. I know the tvs is more efficient, but I got a good deal and with a 5.3 this should give her enough air. Maybe once I blow this engine and drop in a 6 liter I'll upgrade, but hey who knows?
The blower.
Upgraded j tube and throttle body with x link.
Upgraded heat exchanger, bigger than what seems to come with the mp112 truck setup, I believe this is from the newer truck kits? Also black tank from the tvs kits.

Made a lot of progress over the last week, got the fuel pump in and the blower is seated.
Silly me for thinking the fuel tank would just dropped down from a truck that's lived it's life in New England. Got the walbro 255 in and ended up grinding down and painting the frame.
After putting it on and taking it off twice she's finally in place and bolted down. Just need to get all the vacuum lines hooked up and check for fuel leaks before I start her up.

Here a few of the frame after. Good enough for me, I'm sure it'll come through quickly but once it starts only so much you can do. The only terrible area is that metal bracket that holds the junction block for the rear lights is literally falling apart. My initial plans had included pulling the heads going ls9 head gaskets with a cam, springs, etc. I decided last minute I didn't want to tear down a perfectly good engine with only 106k on it, especially where I'm going to need to pull the tranny at some point now with the boost. Once the 5.3 gives in I'll get a 6.0 block, tear it down, build it and swap it in. Of course I say that now...
