Happened into a 6l80 harness this morning, gotta find the time to pull it out of the engine harness and figure out what i need to donto get it to work... As i was typing i also realized i have the vvt connector too....

 

Ok back on with the 6.2, will have it in my possession tomorrow, now the question becomes which engine do i run with, and which do i rebuild and sell?? Plan on selling either the 6.0 or the 6.2 and the 5.3 thats in the truck now, hoping to come up with enough money for a 6l80 and possibly a blower for one of my vehicles....., just havent decided which way to go....

 

Got the l92 today..everything from intake to oil pan, but had to send the oil pan back on the core it had the oil level sensor innit anyway so not a big deal.... Now to decide which is going in!!! The l92 bored probably .010 or .020 over to clean up the piston slap or the l96..... Decisions decisions!!!

And now my yukon interior smells like fuel.... Damnit!!!

 

There's no replacement for displacement......except maybe boost

 

Shhhhhh already have an it h for an lsa sc, dont push it!! Figure stock maybe a couple psi over stock but nothing crazy....

 

Rockn i just read the spcs in you sig on your 02, sounds very similar to my 99 except the blower and 33s...

 

As far as whatever engine i end up with in the yukon, i am thinking i am going to make use of vvt, just havent decided which cam to run, obviously have the stock l92 cam, i also have an ls3 cam the comp xr275hr that came out of the 99 and then theres the lq9 cam i was going to put in the lmg thats in the yukon now.... Been looking at the vvt 2 and btr l99 stage 2 vvt cam.... Looked through comp cams selection some as well, limited as that is.... Have a set of comp 26918 springs i plan to make use of....

 

Noticed that too. Of course most of my specs right now can be simplified to just blown up. Been looking and pricing options for version 3. Lol! Can't wait to get started on it. After talking with Vortec350ss about a different cam I'm all fired up!

 

That sucks, i will probably do the same thing, if and when mine blows up, just keep rebuilding it, yukon i wanna swap the 6.0 or 6.2 in and not do anything overly crazy with it, but at same time want to make it my own.... Next mod after engine will be a 6l80 swap.. Once i get some stuff paid off and some money freed up may look more seriously into a blower....

 

There's no way mine's going anywhere. First and probably last new vehicle I'll ever own. I'd rather spend money making it mine than making a monthly payment. My son asked when I was going to give it to him and I joked (sort of) that I wanted to be buried in it. He laughed and said nah he'll just cremate me and put me in the toolbox so that way I can keep cruising in it. That's love right there.
