Yeah things have a tendency to snowball. I started on mine by getting the dealer to put a set of 285 Wrangler AT/S's before I'd by it and been working on it ever since. There's no telling how many times I've said I'm just going to do a couple more things and it'll be done and I can by a toy. Finally figured out a couple of years ago that it will never be finished.

I'd love a 4" crank but don't want big oil consumption or egg shaped cylinders, plus I'd assume that it would be too big for my baby Maggie. Maybe next time I have to do a motor.

Sadly, the stroker is probably going to be out of my price range unless i can find a used crank and pistons cheap enough to allow it to happen.... And would be more inclined to use a steel block than the aluminum for that endeavor!!!

Got my cam delivered last night, along with the phase limiter for the cam actuator.... Did not quite realize the cam was about same specs are the stage 2 ls3 cam i have in my 99 with a wider lsa..... 216/228 .603/.586 116..... Ordered a set of ls7 lifters today along with new oil pump, hoping to have both of my blocks back from the machine shop by friday.... Debating on buying a new crank or having both of the ones i have turned.... Thinking if im going to buy a new crank a 4" stroke is a necessity at that point

turned is far less expensive than a new one.

Just went over this with a friend of mine. He was looking at a rotating assembly Since his crank is now a large paper weight and the block was bored too large for the pistons.

He has a short block were are going to use. He just needs to get new pistons for it and have the machine work done.

I can get the new crank for $355 so depends what the machine shop is going to charge to turn it, may be more expensive than turning it but the peace of mind of having a fresh crank in it may be worth it.... That and its a good excuse to build the stroker i toyed with building for my 99!!
