So output shaft and the 3 or 4 pistons i didnt have already and the pump slide were $185, and just ordered a sonnax zip kit for $93 from trutechtrans.... Prices are going to be slightky skewed as i have a complete seal kit in my box already not to mention the umpteen seals etc i have from trans i have worked on... Probably have 4 full valve body seal kits in my roll cart and another 5-6 i threw in my tool box, along with who knows how many extra pump seals converter seals etc, i have laying around!!! Every part seems to come with some sort of seal kit... Usually including the check ***** for the valve body and all the seals for the valve body to case and pump seals..... Needless to say i've got seals!!!

Clutch(fiber) kit and the steels for the 4-5-6, 2-6 and waved and backing plate for the 4-5-6 were $160.... When i pull it down again i will decide if the low/reverse steels are bad enough to be worth the $22/each to replace!!! Fibers no question, i may see what transtar wants for them tomorrow!!

Transtar had the low/reverse steels for $2.96 each, so $9.41 later i have the three steels i needed for less than half od what one would've run.... My4-5-6 hub came in today, along with an email trying to charge me more for the zip kit....

Started cleaning up the 6l80, and getting all the subassemblies broken down, still missing one of my piston dams for the 1-2-3-4(which i ordered and paid for but had to be ordered) and the steels for my 2-6 are apparently on backorder!! Also realized i dont have the right output shaft seal, after i pulled the old one considering i am missing parts i didnt want to start reassembling it, so... everything is cleaned up waiting on the few parts i need, if it werent for the second job i would have pulled the valvebody apart this evening, but it can wait til monday or tuesday, hell i can bring that to the house and go through it.... The torrington bearings and spring plates havent made their way into the parts washer, yet. I will throw those in monday and put all the bearings in trans fluid until i am ready to actually assemble to unit.... Parts washer is slightly corrosive and will cause steel to rust if not rinsed and blown off really well, and things like the steels, pressure plates and bearings i will soak in my clutch plate tub just to help prevent rust..... May try to make it up tonwork on it tomorrow afternoon/evening, but... Kids come first!!!

Damage to the outer splines of the 4-5-6 hub...part of the reason i replaced it aside from the snap ring and dampener having blown out of them...

1-2-3-4/3-5-R drum, emptied...

3-5-R piston

1-2-3-4 piston

Stack of steels, retaining ring and snap rings waiting to be introduced to the parts washer.... Some of the steels i was able to reuse, mostly out of the 1-2-3-4/3-5-R drum(not the original one but the one i had)

All cleaned up and purty!!!

Cleaned up hard oarts waiting to be reassembled...

Next week will be fairly eventful...suspect i should have my l92 back from the machine shop monday, tuesday at the latest!!! Want to take a couple evenings after work and probably skip the part time job, so i can get trans and engine back together, hope to have them finished up and waiting on a converter and transfer case input shaft to be able to bolt them together and get them installed!!! Want to have this little project in and running by end of august at the latest!! I can deal with stock cluster for the moment!!! I am ready for a break from these projects though!!!

I got some work done on my 6l80 this evening.... Not as much as id have liked but.... Need the input shaft sealing rings.... They werent in my seal kit got retaining rings and the seals for the pump slide, but seals for the turbine shaft.... Unless they are in with the pump seals.... And i was under some time constraint so not a lot of pics this time...

2-6 clutch stacked, after new piston being installed and having wait for about a week for the wrong 2-6 clutch pack to show up, only to find out we had them on the shelf the whole damn time

Low reverse/sprag assembly installed

center support installed....

Hell's fury of a snap ring,, would not want to see what would happen of one of these came loose under tension

1-2-3-4 and 3-5-R and 4-5-6 hubs installed...

I have the stack up of the 4-5-6 clutch assembly done and installed but still need the sealing rings for the input shaft, before i can really go any further.....i should be able to get those tomorrow, and finish up the 1-2-3-4/3-5-r housing assembly and go through the pump and possibly valve body after work!
