2012 RCSB 416ci TVS2300
#124
ok im trying to decide on what CI i should go with..since ill be using my tvs2300 for another year or so.. then switch to a turbo setup most probably an 80mm.. so i was thinking of just getting a completely built/forged 6.2 with 9.5:1 compression.. some guys are telling me to go for a 416ci thing is i wonder how the tvs2300 will be using that big of an engine.. and how big of a turbo should i use on that engine later on probably a 91?
since im building everything in the US and sending it over here i might as well do it once and do it right
opinions appreciated as always

thing is i don't really see the use of BIG ci's by big i mean 418+ since jarrett went mid 9's on a 6.0.. i may not run as much boost as his but u see were im going. the max i would probably do is a 402

Jarrett is not your typical truck, so take comparing to him with a grain of salt. Can he do it, yes, can everyone, I wouldnt bet on it.
With bigger CI's it makes driveability better since you have plenty of torque out of boost. With a small engine and big turbo it will make a lot of top end but be sluggish (comparitively) out of boost. Really comes down to what you want...
I vote for an LQ4 iron block for a 402.
