Some people believe using the old steam tube that uses all ports will help fight number 7 failures. Others think if some is good, more is better.

Looks interesting. You certainly might seen different results if it works out well during tuning.

For what it's worth I had no steam tubes front or rear on my truck. When it took it's self apart #7 piston was still intact, and in good shape for running with a bent rod.

Well not much to report for tonight. I got the water pump on, all the rockers, exhaust manifolds, and knock sensors in. All I need to do to the block is Flywheel, oil sensor, and prime... I did get the reverse apply pin in the 4l80, so the trans is ready to go....

Default The Engine Runs!!!!

Well, the trans is in the engine is in. I fired her up for a few seconds last night, just need to tie up all the loose ends and fix my shift cable..

why did you remove the steam tubes? How do you get the air pockets out of the heads?

I just didn't think I needed it. How does it sound, any piston noise?
