4x4 T56 build

I do oil & gas stuff. Since I live in Michigan I'm always travelling. Finishing up a job in Houston now.
If I were to build it again I would use newer vette housing and 6l80e auto adapter. Remember they changed the pattern in 08? to match. Wouldn't require the machined plates or anything. Would just bolt up. Chop excess output shaft length with cut off wheel, done.

Tore out the np149 today and got the 32 spline input shaft installed. Test fit it onto the adapter, no issues. Waiting on a input shaft seal and kenndy diesel plate to button it all up.
My poor case... Found this rtv down by the oil pickup tube. Going to reseal with Loctite 515 flange sealant. Pump wear clip was doing its job, going to get the new GM update clip since mine is starting to wear into the case.

Man it has been quite the challenge..
My dash is 100% ripped out of the SS and she's sitting on jack stands. Couldn't wait to take it to my buddies to use the hoist, going oldschool on this bitch in the driveway.
Other non-t56 news, drilled hole in firewall for clutch pedal, made reinforcement plate to weld to firewall.
Ordered some pacesetters and looking at doing the Kennedy diesel pump cover ($50) the clip was doing its job, but GMs answer to the problem didn't do much for me when I saw its just a wider clip.
Oh and I'm going to modify the fill plug to house a temp sensor and connect the 4l60e temp wires to it so my factory gauge will display

did you have to replace the output shaft with a 32 spline unit? I have been searching the net on how to do a AWD T56 setup and i like how you used the factory 4L60E adapter. I would love to put one in my AWD LS Jimmy. but just use the 27 spline output shaft to my BW4472 t-case. do you have a list of parts you used and the cost?

Most of the special parts for mine were for the SSR hybrid. Grab a c5 vette tailhousing, machine an adapter that bolts to it and then drill it to fit the 4x4 adapter. Chop off excess shaft length. You will need the cheesy and super expensive Keisler mid shift conversion
