Not sure it even has a code yet. but it certainly seems like its a harness thing. I've had it run on 7 cylinders and about 3, all at random times. 97% of the time it runs perfect. This must be a boring build thread because the truck has no major issues.

I must say, I am very apprehensive at this point to turn this truck into a 500hp monster, as it is it is the nicest car I have ever driven with a V8 swap. I'm overly impressed with how well it drives, it has handled Boston traffic so far with no issues, and cruises at 90 smooth as glass. This might actually push me to turbo the truck instead of making it a nasty N/a engine, just for drivability.

Ive been slowly tinkering on the koda for a while. Rob (Vortec350ss) helped me tune it and it woke the engine up quite a bit, spins posi on the 2-3 shift and chirps 3rd under WOT. I daily drive it and the only problem i've had so far is that it tends to eat serp belts. My going theory is that the dakota steering rack is too much hydraulic load for the GM P/S pump. I need to figure out a way to lower the pressure bypass on the GM pump to make it work less hard.

mounted a 15gal fuel cell under the bed in the back of the truck. I've yet to plumb it but its mounted. also fit the passenger side header the other day and tweaked it to the point that it will fit on the truck. had to shave off some of the 4l80 to get it past the engine. hopefully the drivers side will be drop in, there is much more room on that side. either way I need to remake the trans crossmsmber to get the exhaust out the back of the truck.

within the next few weeks, I'll mount the headers, re make the exhaust, and plumb the fuel cell. Once those are done I can dig into installing the LS3 heads, cam, ect. Also have a pair of nitto NT555r tires for the rear of the truck coming tomorrow, in 275/60-15, mounted on 15x8 gragar steelies

Can someone confirm if my stock 2001 computer and harness will be able to work with the 2014 50Lb flex fuel injectors I plan to use? I'm hearing rumors they wont.

Wait... the injectors are from a GMT900 flex fuel. Maybe the confusion is people think you mean direct injection when you say 2014. We won't have an issue. We will just need to tune for them and you will need different injector plugs.

Can't wait to start playing with the tune after the exhaust is done... maybe we will give it some real attention at that point.

sorry, PITA to post pics from the phone. goals for this week are to plumb the fuel cell and figure out how to wire the fuel level from the fuel cell. Then I can final install the headers and redo the rear half of the exhaust.

I need to order mufflers for it this week, 3inch in, 3 inch out, stainless. Goal for sound is to eliminate the drone as much as possible and sound raspy instead of smooth and droney like it does now. Can anyone reccomend a muffler that does well to kill drone?

this is the amount of cutting I needed to do to the passenger side to make the headers fit past the 4l80.

Built a new trans crossmember saturday so that I could have more room to run the headers

Also any plans to drop it down in the rear?

Yeah I need to drop it. I want to keep it leaf, so caltracks with a single beefy leaf seem the way to go, but I know nothing about making leafs hook.

everything Ive heard with magnaflows seems to be really throaty/droney loud?

Corsa does exactly what you want... but you can't buy the mufflers alone unless you get a 4" diesel muffler. For the power you want I would like to see you keep the 3.5" exhaust like you have now.

Here are my 2 cents. After you do the heads, cam, and headers the motor will have more of the raspy sound you want. Get the biggest 3.5" magnaflow you can get right now to leave the cat back at 3.5" rather than necking down to 3".

New exhaust will be true dual 3 inch (with an x pipe if you really think it's gona give it that vette sound). I'm thinking the borala xr-'s are what I'm going to buy
