Depending on the weight difference you should be able to feel it. My 22’s are pretty light for what they are but I want more sidewall for a smoother ride. I think my ideal size would be some 305/45/20’s on some 20x10 wheels if I could find a light weight set.

Light weight 20s are hard to find. I'd like to find a set of Cosmis wheels or some other quality 20". I think the skinnier tires on the steel wheels will make it feel a little more fun too. The 285 nittos really hook well. Doesn't spin at all in a straight line and during a slide it rights itself very quickly. Kinda makes it feel boring as silly as that sounds.
Your 22s have near no sidewall that's got to be a pretty harsh ride.

Oh I totally know what you mean. I used to have a 92 civic hatch with a b16b, civic type r motor. On the 14” steelies the car had it would rip the tires off through 3rd gear 9500rpm. After I sold it to a buddy he put some sticky toyos on it and it felt so much slower. Especially with the peaky powerband of a ctr motor. And yeah the tires on my 22’s are 285/35/22. I got them for cheap but wish I would have ordered up some 305/40/22’s instead. I didn’t think they would be as low profile as they are and they definitely need to be a larger diameter to fill in the wheel wells.

You might have some rub with 305s my 285s rubbed the rear inner liner on hard bumps and the front would catch the sway bar at full lock on a slope. Cheap 1/4 spacers cured both so your offset might be better. I'd kinda like to get 2 of the 6 steelies I just got widened so I can run some fat stickier tires when I feel the need for lots of traction.

Yanked the old 10bolt out and its a good thing I did I found several spider gear teeth floating around in there.
Everything has gone smooth so far except the brakes from the 10b would not fit over the splash guard on the 9.5sf. So out came the C clip and the shafts of both axles to swap the splash guards and E brakes.
As of last night the 9.5 is under the truck with the uppers arms, shocks, and E brake bolted up. Gotta run and get U joint straps for the 1350 adapter and it looks like the drive shaft will fit without any issues. Also gotta figure out brake lines one of the original 10b lines I had planned to use caught on a shock when I slide it out from the truck and broke.
