Going to do some research on an even bigger yoke maybe a 1410 like the GMT900 HDs. Just don't feel like having the shaft at the shop for 3 weeks.

So the question now is should I wet them and do a burnout leaving the shop today?

Me thinks you should lay off the Burnouts till you upgrade...

GMT800 had them too I guess I can upgrade from a 1410 to a 1480 on my truck when I get the new set up done.

Yeah I don't feel like scattering another $130 on the ground today. Cheese and rice! 1480 that's some hardcore stuff.

She is a 5 inch round shaft....

So if you look them up for most 2500 series trucks, most upgrades are a 5 inch Aluminum shaft and go from a .065 wall to .125 wall thickness.

Your shaft is as thick as some peoples shafts are long.

I havent measured but I think this shaft is a 4in and its definitely steel.

I found a 1410 yoke for $48! Called Dennys drive shaft and the owner verified it's exactly what I'm looking for and is manufactured in the US by AAM so it's not made of Wuhan Chineseium which is good. My local driveshaft shop has a 2-3 day wait right now which isn't bad so likely Monday I'll take the shaft to get re-yoked to 1410 and have it back together possibly by Wednesday for burnouts

Also have a new Hellwig rear sway bar, adjustable endlinks, and PML slim diff cover ready to put on. Anxious to see how the G80 looks after the abuse I've given it.
