The question now is what to do to remedy the situation.
Things I need help deciding on:
-ARP head bolts or go straight to studs?
-Replacement LQ4 or LS9 gasket?
-Trunion Upgrade?
-Keep the sissy 212/218 or go bigger?
-If I go bigger throw the 224/228 I have in it and custom spec something for my RCSB or custom spec something for this?
-Have 862s worked over like it had before or throw the PRC heads I have for the RCSB on it and get something different for it?
-Other crap I'm not thinking about.....

I don't have any 799s at my disposal but I'm looking around for any head options available locally. Going to see how long it will take to get the 862s worked over and if it's going to be more than a week or so I will probably rob the PRC heads from my RCSB and throw them on this.

No wonder it broke... Thing didn't know what to do since you didn't dump the clutch.
It said this is boring, I am leaving...
Filthy Clutch Dumper....
I vote change the cam while she is down. I wish the BFD Video was still up. It was swapped in a tahoe I believe. I think that's what you need...
Unfortunately the Idiot posted he was in CA so I am sure they contacted him about it....

These are un-known dual springs on some CNC ported heads a freind of mine bought.
Broke 3 springs with around 100-200 Miles on a fresh engine... Never even made a full pass on it. Still breaking it in. Just started consuming oil one day. Cam is only .585 lift and similar to a sloppy stage 2.

So whats your vote on cam? 224/228 or something else? The BFD cam has too much chop lol IMO and I can't seem to find the cam specs anywhere but I do remember seeing the denali in the video.

So what your saying is I need to find some clutch dump proof triple springs? That really sucks for your buddy but the heads were probably fine which is why I should have doubles when I bought the dang thing.

My buddy installed this exact cam from Jegs. Part Number: 555-200582 Basic LQ9 rebuild with 241 CNC heads. Now has my BTR dual springs with Titanium retainers(these were for my build)and a fresh valve job. Has a decent chop at idle. Nothing to annoying for me. Idles around 750 ish.

the 219/224 i had seems like a decent balance for DDability, since you've got the 6.0 low end torque. has decent chop on the 113°.
i figured the thicker LS9 gasket would work decent to slightly limit the 799s' compression bump. if sticking with 862s, i'd say stick with a slightly thinner one.
