Well, the fuel pump was fine, I just stuck the new Delphi unit in and I have the same 50psi on cranking and occasional no start on the first crank. So I pulled the intake and spark plugs for further investigation since I'm somewhat convinced it's something related to the cam sensor I just replaced blindly giving it the ole reach around method. To my surprise the intake is full of oil, I guess the $20 amazon can with steel wool in it isn't doing its job completely, I can see oil in the line leading to the intake. Theres also a good amount of oil on the sensors in the back of the block not sure if the intake gaskets are letting it leak out or what so I'll have to clean all that up while I wait for the new heater core connector that broke to come in. Coming with that connector are new injector O rings, it looks like #6 and #8 might be leaking out a tad as theres a little more gunk around them then the other six so I might as well replace them all. Spark plugs looked great except I noticed the gap was open more than .060, at first I thought they opened themselves up but then I realized I had TR55s instead of my usual TR5s , must have been an amazon order mixup last year.
Oh almost forgot, I noticed the knock sensor harness was partially crushed by the intake and could have been the cause of my random knock on data logs.

After a minor struggle, smarty pants @arthursc2 found a diagram of the PCM pinout which shows trans temp as C2-51 Yellow/blk. Spliced into that and a ground and got the trans temp sensor working and reading on the fancy cluster!
This is something I’ve wanted for awhile so I’m pumped it actually works. Got it up to 129* after several 100mph pulls and then bogging the crap out of it in high gear low rpm. Can’t wait to put a trailer behind it and see how hot it gets.
