I'm not super familiar with the NV4500, does yours have the 3.44 or 3.04 2nd gear ratio? Either way, should be enough even with 3.42s - unless you have some stupid cam that doesn't turn on until 4000 RPM. I'm sure you already know... vehicle weight and heavy *** wheel and tire combo don't help. If you can just practice and consistently get into the 2.2-2.3 sixty foot range in street trim - it will be about a full second faster than the times with 3+ second sixty foot times. What do you feel that it makes for power?

watching the videos it doesn’t look to be transferring weight well at all, I think I need to put a bunch of effort into shock tuning.

from what i understand (without having a lot of experience in that area), pressure would depend on your tire's load capability, sidewall strength, & your weight (among other factors).
i honestly couldn't give you an accurate estimate, but normal street pressure is often a little high, and 10lb low is often too far. I'd just play with it in the mid 20s & go from there with getting the launch more systematic.
as for 2nd gear: think about that a second. roughly equivalent to a 4L60... with 33s... and 3.42 gears... and essentially a torque converter that goes straight into lock-up. how many threads have you read where guys complain about how doggy their stock truck's launch is?

So true however, wouldn’t a cure for that in an auto be to get a converter that allows them to launch harder off the line at a higher rpm? Meaning I could potentially just slip/dump the clutch at a higher rpm in second and negate the negatives of the off line sluggishness? Or is it just never gonna hook and book in second and doomed to bog every time?

2nd gear is 3.04 so almost the same as a 4l60E first gear which isn’t a bad thing. The cam feels good down low but I can definitely feel it come in stronger around 2,800rpm. Is a 2.3 60’ good? I have no experience racing and figured a 1.9 should be doable, I managed a 2.3 on my best run leaving at 2k in first with a small amount of spin.

Again, JMHO - without a crazy launch, 350-375 RW should be capable of mid 14s - even at 5500lbs. In my own personal experience, 1000 lbs lighter and 100 less RWHP was good for 14.5-14.6 with 2.2x sixty foot times.

2.3 isn't "good" per se~, but beats the crap out of a 3.xxx short time. My humble opinion: going to need at least 4.10s with the vehicle weight, tire height/weight, and that camshaft. With a 33" tall tire and a .7 something OD - it shouldn't be bad on the highway. I have 4.10s, .75 OD ratio of the 80E and 30" tall tires on my truck. It's fine on the highway, I'm not trying to drive 80+ MPH. Just remember HP is king because TQ says it can be. (An old timer saying for HP is a biproduct of TQ)

If I ever do 4.10s it will be an H2 gear set and E locker it’s by far the most affordable option.

After crunching the numbers some more I think I can hit low 12s if I toss on the ported 243s I have on the shelf so…… Gaskets are ordered and I think I’ll just let the mystery lifters (possibly ls7s) hang out awhile longer, they quit making noise when I switched back to 5-30 with a qt of Lucas.
JK about hitting 12s but I am gonna throw them on. Should I get new seats and seals or use the ones from the current 862s that have 20k on them?

after having 4.30s & 33s with that same transmission and a cammed 5.3, i'd keep the 3.42s and just deal with the slight lack of acceleration rather than swap to 4.11s & lose a gear.
if this was a race truck, i'd sing a different tune... but it ain't.

I figured you’d agree on the gears I actually love how it drives on the street with the 3.42s and 33s.
They are milled with 63cc chambers and I calculate 10.07:1 with LS9 gaskets. Currently it has 10.39:1 with the 862s is .32 compression gonna be noticeable at all? I could run LQ4 gaskets and get 10.16 or wait for some .041 cometics and get 10.4:1.
I was considering the ls9 gaskets in consideration for future boost although that will be awhile.
