That's the after photo... not a contortionist so I opted to drop the pan, 2wd is pretty easy. 4wd I don't know the procedure.
Modified Harbor Freight 3 jaw puller with 2 large hose clamps to keep jaws on the OEM crank gear. The clamp helps when you don't have a 3rd hand to secure the jaws. Rollmaster crank gear installed by hand.
Pan off
Pan clean with new gasket in place. I used a little RTV on the corners between the new gasket and the pan. The nuts and bolts (finger tight) were used to secure the gasket to the pan while the RTV setup so no slips during install. (zero leaks)

Got most of the truck torn down and then ran into some minor issues. First off I broke both spring compressor tools I had, I guess dual springs are pretty tough and these are garbage. Then I was unable to remove the ARP crank bolt which I installed two years ago. I think when I installed it I used my impact but had the front end apart so I got a straight shot on it, now I don't want to pull it apart but a wobble and extension is robbing too much power from the Milwaukee.
I did port the outlet on the M295 pump I bought for $63 and checked the spring which is blue so it should make 60psi which should be sufficient.
Also dropped the pan and it looks fantastic to me! I didn't drop the windage tray yet and I didn't check deck height because I ran out of time but I thought the pistons looked alright with not to much carbon build up.

When Red drops his oil pan it is polished and the inside and all the oil is neatly packaged in a box for him to take out

Be mindful with the heat or you will damage the elastomer in the dampener.
Is the broken spring tool aluminum? With the moment from the ratchet, a better design would incorporate a hardened steel bushing there.
I have had good luck with the two-spring tool that bolts to the pedestal and has a hardened stud and nut to compress the springs. Just have to be sure and keep the stud lubed and retaining bolts on the pedestals run down snug.
