So I just drained the oil in my truck to redo the turbo drain, im gonna tap the front of the pan. Well when my oil what draining I noticed it shimmers and it definitely has metal flakes in it, no chunks but silver flakes, I did a cam swap so are my cam bearings toast now? It didnt make any out of the ordinary noises. I havent cut open the filter yet im letting it drain still, hopefully I wont find anything bad....

So i opened up the filter and theres no chunks or big pieces just the flaky stuff thats like really fine glitter it looks like. I had 40 psi after i put the cam in and then it dropped to 35 when i put the turbo on (truck has yet to be tuned or dynoed)

Well fml, if i take the cam out will i be able to tell they are bad right away? I dont wanna ruin the brand new cam if it isnt already... I read that putting a nic in the bearing could do this? I mean i was careful so i thought but this was the first time i tore into an engine
