I am not positive but i think viper heads would go right on that motor after seeing the short block picture.

I used to work on vipers

yea you can make the 1st gen viper heads work, but requires a lot of work , not a bolt on deal. They don't flow any better then the iron heads, just saves weight. This thing is already a pig, 100 lbs won't make or break it lol

sweet swap i wish i had the money to do something like this i owned a 2000 dodge with a 5.9 but i now drive a chevy with a 5.3

trust me, I'm a cheap sumbich. I don't have much money in this swap and I think it's the best bang for the buck if you have a magnum powered ram. never heard much good about those 408 strokers and you already start off with 80 more cubes

Dammit, started out as Jan 2009, so I thought by the time I hit Jun 2010 it would be finished...lol... Either way I am in for updates. Exhaust sounds Awesome! V10's were never really my deal, but this is an awesome project.

Thanks and how do ya think I feel? been plannin and gatherin parts for this turd for over 5 years off and on lol felt damn good to go out and blow some dry dead rubber off the "tire", damn peg leg rear has got to go. On the back burner at the moment while I get my wifes 02 silverado stepside done, then back to my toy.

Understandable. Hopefully you get a rear in there so you can post some sweet flyby videos or interior vid's. How do all the guages hook-up?
