I wrapped the ends with the blue tape and took it to the napa here in town that also makes high pressure hoses. Guy I have known for 20+ years works there now. He took it back and ran it through their chop saw on the tape and got me a really clean cut.
Got home to find my 90 degree hose end had come in, so I put it together and had no issues what so ever. Screwed in nice and snug, gave it a good pull and no movement of any kind. Worked great!!

Now to get money for more ends like these so I can get the rest of my fuel system built!!

Also, my carb came in today!! NICE!!!!!!!!! He even tossed in a couple brackets to make installation easier. Bad part is he is crying about wanting me to get MINE up and running when it is 25 degrees outside and no shop!! But yet he is the one with a nice warm garage and he wont go get a carb for his to get it up and running yet!! LOL

Well the guy that had that one on the mustang at the track, his was on a 6.0 and had a nitrous kit as well, he was thrilled with how it was working and said once they did a little bit of tuning with jets, it has worked flawlessly ever since.

What was the nitrous plate you told me to check out before getting the perimeter plate?

Well, the plan for today was to go out and get the crab installed, and maybe try to run the harness for the 6LS box inside the cab through the firewall at the back of the engine.

Unfortunately the motivation for such a project never managed to rear its head and me get moving around. Plus it didn't get over 38 here at the house all day long.

I need a couple of 50-55 degree days in a row!! Just TWO!!

6ls didn't get touched, neither did the rest of the truck. The trans is out, and I have a line on a turbo 350 that is supposed to be good. I already have several pieces of the fuel systems last parts ordered, and hopefully they will be here by next weekend.

I go in the morning to get my DOT physical so I can return to work. After that is inform the company so I can get to a terminal and get a truck which will probably be Monday or Tuesday.

I also have the task now of figuring out what is going on with Mom's Ford and its severe lack of power. Found one spark plug completely gas fouled. Changed it and it helped a little but not much. May have to look at diving under that intake manifold and see what is going on, whether a bad lifter, wiped cam lobe or what all.

Picture below shows what all I have now, not including my bag full of goodies..

thought I had all the parts I needed, but forgot to get the parts for the fuel solenoid feed line.... grrrrr

those are ordered.

the seller who did not have the rod I needed to finish my battery shut off in stock got a negative feedback for selling an item not on hand.

speaking of hands, I stabbed my left ring finger all the way through the side earlier tightening up a flat head screw. head slipped and my finger got in the way of the damage path... not hurting too bad now but I was definitely not a happy camper a while ago. now I am trying to type with a mechanics band aid on my finger!! one napkin and 2 pieces of 1.5 inch duck brand packing tape..

fuel cell and nitrous plate are FINALLY on the way in.... had to actually call them to get that done...

second round of -6 AN line was all mangled on the ends again. seller got negative. same one as last time but I ordered again because the person who emailed me said they had to do some staffing changes because of too many complaints and next time would be better. it wasn't.

time to get to bed, loooong day, and maybe another looooong day tomorrow/today again...
