93 S-10 project

Well, got a couple more things completed. Got the mini-spool installed, got the bench seat taken out (I have a SHITLOAD of headroom now that I am sitting on the floor), changed the nitrous trigger to a different style, connected the nitrous timing retard to the 6LS box, pinned up some wiring and put the dash back together where the radio goes a bit more. I also got the fire extinguisher and 6LS box mounted to the floor. They are both within easy reach, and I have even given thought to adding a small stand for the laptop to sit on when I want to keep it in there.. Nothing outrageous though.
I am going to have to install a ground wire from the dash wiring to the chassis cause I think I am missing a ground from somewhere. Since I changed the nitrous and purge connection, the gauges on the dash flicker on and off now. I didn't change their power point for the solenoids or the gauges but now the gauges flicker.
I just need to add a couple of grounds I think.
Well, hopefully this sunday goes well. I am supposed to head to Mississippi for orientation Tuesday around noon. That will last Wednesday thru Friday, and hopefully I will be able to start making some money!

7's are here...
125 shot running full tilt netted me 7.575 @ 90.19 with a 1.649 60 ft..
I was going to make one last pass on 200 and about 150 feet in my bottle lost pressure and went dry on nitrous.... Still netted me a 7.66.. It was on a real *** hauler and might have hit 7-7.10 or maybe faster.

Well, tried again with the 200 HP setup and it just would not get the power to the ground. I don't know if it was converter or trans, but it just would not hold this engine making that power.
It was NOT wheel spin either. It would hook and take off but the times were actually slower. 7.86 and 7.93. Motor sounded like it was running harder, but the truck was definitely slower.

Determined that the engine was blowing through the converter to be the reason of slower times with more power.
Truck actually was sold to a local kid on 6/13/14 for $4500.
He has it at a body shop now getting painted. Once that is done he said he was going to have an 8.8 that is ready for install put in. He is also asking questions of swapping heads and cam, and what all else can be done to pick up the power.
As far as this thread goes, since I have sold the truck, this thread will fall by the way side and go deep into the bowels of cyberspace.
I already have my next project sitting at home and waiting for some parts to come in, along with having to take it to the dealer to get keys programmed for it.
