That lift shackle will only get you 1", and some guys have problems with them not even fitting on their trucks for some reason.

I would just do a flip kit and call it a day but its up to you.

I suggest the flip kit over a drop leaf if you are looking to help straight line traction. I have been intending to remove my Hotchkis leafs and build a flip kit for the stock leafs for quite some time just for that reason. I built a set of long bars and I cannot tell that they help any at the track and seem to spin worse on the street as they make the rear extremely stiff even on soft shock settings.

Yeah the ride quality is better than my old long bars and traction is somewhat better.

After alot of reading last and some looking at the truck this morning i plan togo with a flip kit. Also i plan to lower the rear leaf mount about 1-1.5 inches. That should get me to the ride height i want.

I am curious to see how this works out for you as I also only want about another inch in the back (5" total). I would want to lower the rear mounts prior to doing the flip kit since I will be welding on new perches and lowering the rear of the spring would change the pinion angle slightly positive.

Got any pics of the grinding that was needed to put the assassin trac bars in? I have a set ready to go on and I have 2" drop hangars.

Yeah it will be a few months before i get to it. I am really tired of removing the bed. Also i want to replace the leaf springs with new ones.

Well basically you need to cut back part of the second leaf about 1/4 inch and completely grind off one of the ears which attach to the ubolt

Is the "ear" you speak of on the truck or the trac bars parts? I just got the trac bars parts powdercoated, hoping I don't have to grind them

I got my meth kit all hooked up and working! Now i can finally start WOT tuning. I am running a 75/25 meth/water mix. I also got all my indicator lights hooked up. One for when the meth sprays, one for when the 2nd pump kicks on and one for the low meth level sensor. I also hooked up a switch to manually turn on the 2nd pump. So if the primary pump dies i can turn on the second pump and drive home.

Switches for the efans to manually turn on and the second fuel pump switch
