My temps typically go up 20-30 degrees from cruising with a cooler. Like I mentioned before, mine got up to 250+ in about 10 minutes of easy city driving (no boost).

Well i did alot of driving today. 100*+ temps out today, exhaust temp was at its normal 950-1050* range and the oil temps never got above 200-215*. So seems like the truck is cooling pretty good. During lunch i let it idle for about 20min and the oil temps got up to 225*, still nothing to worry about. So i am pretty happy, actually dont really need the cooler but i may add it anyways.

So the engine coolant is actually cooling the oil right now right? What did the oil temp do when you got into boost?

Actually in boost it got slightly cooler probably due to RPM. The more rpm the cooler it ran. Meaning idle is hotter than 2k rpm. Oil pressure hits 60+ above 3k so more oil is moving i guess.

It is just kinda nice knowing all is well.

Then again my boost runs only last a few seconds, so no real good test.

It is actually useful in adjusting timing. I reLly like having it to monitor the truck especially with the turbo. You making twice the power i am and actually going WOT for longer than 3sec would benefit from it alot IMO.
