why do you think the 1/4 mph is so close for both passes?

Motor is already wore smooth out. lol

I'm guessing it was a combination of the weather and a much different torque converter. I'm on the 4th one in 26 passes.

Sorry I didn't get by to get these tonight. Got busy. I'll see if I can swing by tomorrow.

 

what did you/they change in the converter this time? made it looser to put less strain on the motor?

 

Well the goal for this one was actually to loosen it up for the very reason you posted. However, it didn't change much if at all. It actually got worse on the shift and 2% looser on the top in hi gear.

We started throwing power at it and it started coming around, so I'm gonna make some other changes and stick with it for the time being to see what it does.

 

when in doubt, power out!

 

Probably gonna have to kick the rods out of it to get the converter loose enough to work. lol
