In an effort to keep the heads down on this thing the block is gonna get filled to the top, welding the decks on the heads completely shut (dry deck) and 1/2" head studs.

I'm gonna feed water to the exhaust side of the heads via -6 lines aimed directly at the back of the combustion chamber and water out will be via -8 lines where the steam ports used to be.

Here is pics of the progress so far.

The 6 bolt must be crazy expencive? Seems like you have a lot of money rapped up in all the fittings, tubing, drill, machining, and other misc. I do love anything that is different and maybe one of a kind? So this is awesome just seems like some crazy voodoo stuff.

Set of 6bolt mast/allpro/etc. probably 7-8k decently setup.

Im going cheaper with a prc/tfs ls7 heads bout 1/2 that, not nearly as much boost as blown06 though hes pushing 2bar + into setup.

At this point, with the filled block, why not just run on methanol?

Run that bitch at stoich on methanol in the staging lanes to get heat in the engine and then spray the house down. It would required a hell of a fuel system and probably dual 100+lb/hr injectors per cylinder but you would easily be flirting with 7's I'd think.

What made you do the modification to the heads vs running methanol? Oh and what exactly do blocks get filled with?

The modification to the heads was a suggestion and brainstorm of a few different engine builders. The reason I haven't switched to methanol is just as you said......the fuel system. Block gets filled with "Hardblock"

Methanol is to keep things cool thus not needing all the cooling modifications?

Methanol is a fuel... It's meant for combustion not to keep things cool.
