Did you ever consider the joe Gibbs bumper cover? It looks way different than the ss bumper and is just as light

As badly as I wanted to keep my 03 gmc front end I will be changing the grille to a 99-02 so the joe Gibbs bumper will fit better. The stock 03+ gmc bumper is stupid heavy! It weighs more than the 03-07 Chevy bumper does

The gap doesn't look bad, that's how they came from the factory. The driver's side does look slightly off alignment however.

It's not a bad way to get some extra ground clearance.

Yea I don't add anything that isn't 4130. It will be coming back apart for a quick rattle can job.

Must be the angle of the picture. They are exactly the same.

I'm hoping to dyno the motor with the blower on methanol to get a good baseline......then shaking the truck down a couple time before the end of the year. If all is well, I'll leave it alone until after the SAR deal.

If I get everything done how I want it, on a perfect day with a slight tail wind off a cliff...........8.0's might be possible. Honestly, anything under 8.50 with a procharger and 4-bolt **** will be nothing short of amazing.

You're a ricer if you think this looks bad.
