Blown06-New Build: Cage, 4-Link, Cog Drive, + Too Much More

Man this ****** intake situation is gonna kill me. So much has gone wrong with this whole ordeal. I sent them 4 of my ID2000 injectors for trial fitting before the intake comes back. I get an email with picks showing that they are too tall. Not only for the secondary set of rails but for the factory Mast rails and brackets. Frankenstien calls Mast, Mast says the intake is set up to fit factory length ls1/ls6 injectors. I tell Frankenstein that these very injectors have been run in an edelbrock intake with edelbrock rails (which are for ls1/ls6 length injectors). It was too late to call Injector Dynamics to see if they make a shorter spacer or what the **** the deal is but...........something just doesn't jive right with this whole ordeal. Below are the 2 pics he sent me of where the rail lands with the ID's. So I go out and take a pic of 2 stock injectors and 2 ID2000 injectors installed in an intake to show that there is no difference. Took pics side by side. Even took a pic of the part number to show that it is indeed an ls1/ls6 injector........WTF??????????????

After looking at the pics...........it seems to me that the rails frankenstein has his hands on are just not cut deep enough. Look at the step on the purple spacer on the ID's.

Not sure if this helps. It looks like you have it figured out with the rail not being cut enough. Are the id1000's and id2000's the same on top? It looks like the tops of the injectors are the same? Here is pics of my hats on my id1000's.
My Hats are definetly different than yours. Ls1style on my edelbrock pro-flo. Hope this helps.

hAHAHAHhaha
Please don't misunderstand..........I still don't have my hands on this thing.
This will be the most expensive, longest worked on Cathedral port single 4 style cast intake ever done for an ls motor once I actually take delivery................at least I can have that record.

If I had known, these few changes where gonna end up costing this much money and time, I would have never done it. I would have put it back together like it was, and just used the money for a decent motor.
Its so bad, its as if the thing never ran to begin with.
